The inspiration behind the concert is to mark the 150th anniversary of the first performance (in 1875) of Trial By Jury - which was the first of the collaborations between Gilbert and Sullivan. The second half of the concert will therefore involve a performance of that operetta. In the first half, there will be selection of solos, ensembles and choruses from the other works of the duo. After a couple of productions away from the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, the concert represents a return to those works, for the celebration of which the Society was formed. The concert will be at St. Clement's Parish Hall, starting at 3:00pm. During the interval, tea and cake will be available.
